About
The Black Girl Health Bank is a health equity platform dedicated to supporting the wellness of Black women through culturally responsive services and experiences.
Founded by a Black female research scientist, our work is rooted in lived experience and a deep understanding of the inequities that continue to exist within the healthcare system. These realities fuel our commitment to creating more accessible, affirming pathways to health and wellbeing.
We’ve built a wellness ecosystem designed to help Black women thrive, guided by our three core values: Educate, Advocate, and Provide Resources. Through trusted information, community-centered advocacy, and meaningful connections, we aim to meet Black women where they are.

Educate
Advocate
Provide Resources
Education is the most important means of empowering women to advocate for themselves in any given situation. The BGHB will educate Black women and girls on health disparities that affect them, teach them how to navigate the diagnose and treatment within the medical system, and empower them to create change for themselves.
Accessibility is required to help overcome the socio-economic barriers to health and wellness resources. The BGHB will provide resources for Black women to make the best decisions for their health and wellbeing. We got you!
Black women require increased visibility among businesses and care providers to aid systemic change and improving health outcomes. The BGHB will work with the community to raise awareness and create initiatives that address the causes of existing disparities.
